The Issue

We, the concerned parents and guardians of Brunswick High School students, demand accountability for the recent failure in protecting a student-athlete who was sexually assaulted in the boys’ lacrosse locker room.

The incident occurred while the student was under staff supervision. Worse still, those staff members, including the coaching staff and school officials, failed to report the assault as mandated under Maryland law. It was the victim’s parents, not the school, who brought the incident to light.

This is a direct violation of Maryland’s mandatory reporting law (Md. Code, Fam. Law § 5-704) and a complete breach of the moral duty expected of educators and mentors.

We are calling for the immediate resignation or termination of:

The Head Coach of the boys’ lacrosse team
The Athletic Director
The Principal and any administrators involved in the delay or failure to report
Any staff member aware of the incident who did not act

Allowing these individuals to continue in their roles signals that reputation and self-preservation take precedence over the safety and dignity of our children. This is unacceptable.

We stand with the victim and demand a school culture that prioritizes student safety over silence and cover-ups.

Sign this petition to restore accountability and demand justice.
