Demand Rent Rebate for Extended Lack of Hot Water Supply

The Issue

I am a tenant in exchange court CR0 2WR Croydon, UK, and for over three weeks now, we have been living without hot water supply. This situation is not only inconvenient but it also affects our daily life and work life significantly. It's winter and the lack of hot water means we cannot bathe properly or do our laundry at home.

This issue is not unique to me alone; many tenants across the UK face similar issues with their landlords failing to provide essential services. According to Shelter England, landlords are legally required to ensure that their properties have a reliable supply of hot water (Shelter England). However, this obligation has been neglected in my case.

The absence of such basic amenities for an extended period is unacceptable and warrants compensation in the form of rent rebate. This petition seeks justice not just for me but also other tenants who may be suffering silently under similar circumstances.

I urge you all - fellow tenants, homeowners in Croydon, housing rights activists - to sign this petition demanding a rent rebate from our landlords due to the prolonged absence of hot water supply. Your signature can make a difference by holding these landlords accountable and ensuring that they fulfil their legal obligations towards providing decent living conditions.
