As an ardent J-POP music enthusiast living in the Philippines, I am personally affected by the current restrictions placed on this genre by popular streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even local radio stations. These limitations are a disservice to the increasing number of J-POP fans in our region and globally.

Given the rise in popularity of foreign music genres, especially J-POP, it's high time for these platforms to recognize this demand and make J-POP music more easily accessible in the Philippines. Through this petition, I am reaching out to both fans in the country and globally who share similar frustrations with these constraints on our music enjoyment.

I am strongly advocating for these platforms to expand the availability of J-POP content and aim to present these platforms with the number of signatures we are able to gather. Moreover, I have started to curate J-POP playlists and engage with popular J-POP creators and influencers for the promotion of this music genre. This action will, in turn, press these platforms to understand the demand and hopefully lead to a reconsideration of current policies.
