As a distressed parent and someone who has also coached youth baseball, I have observed first-hand the abhorrent treatment and weak leadership displayed by the current baseball coaches at Byron Nelson High School. Having personally witnessed the constant belittling and humiliation of the players, I can confirm the existence of a highly toxic environment within the team.

These coaches are not only lacking in their basic knowledge, understanding, and execution of coaching baseball effectively, but they also consistently fall short in nurturing personal development and sportsmanship. It's painfully evident in their attitude that they are unsuited for these positions of leadership and mentorship among young men who are in crucial stages of learning and development.

Under the current coaches, the team loses games against competitors whom they should easily outclass, leading to further discontent among the talented and hardworking players. The saddest part is witnessing passionate young men lose interest in a game they loved and wanted to thrive in, only because the current coaches are sapping their enthusiasm and confidence.

This unacceptable situation is no longer tolerable. It is evident the disastrous coaching has to end for the future of the team and the sport at this school. We're urgently calling for the removal of ALL of the current baseball coaches at Byron Nelson High School.
