As members of the Meharry Medical College community, we are facing an urgent issue that directly affects our daily lives and finances. Since we have started school, many students have been paying $400 each semester for parking  that are neither accessible nor usable. This financial burden is unreasonable, especially when we are unable to benefit from the service we are paying for.

The parking facilities at Meharry Medical College have been consistently inaccessible, causing immense frustration and inconvenience for everyone who commutes to campus. Students are struggling to find spots close enough to classes, often parking off-campus or resorting to alternative transportation methods, which incur additional costs and stress. Faculty and staff are equally impacted, compromising their ability to arrive at work on time and fulfill their professional obligations efficiently.

This situation is not only unfair but also unsustainable. We believe that if services like parking, which are paid for upfront, are not rendered satisfactorily, those payments should be refunded immediately. The college administration must recognize the validity of our concerns and return the $800 payments to all affected individuals.

We urge the administration of Meharry Medical College to conduct an immediate review of the parking facilities and implement improvements that will ensure accessibility and satisfaction for all. Additionally, we demand a transparent process in how parking fees are allocated and used to prevent such issues from arising in the future.
