Petition updateDemand Raven Housing Trust restore swift nest siteWe did it! The swifts nest is now accessible.

The scaffolders arrived  Saturday morning and removed the scaffolding!

Nest 1 will finally be completely unobstructed and will no longer be the site of an active wildlife crime.

Now we will watch the site to see if both swifts have survived and are still using the nest.

This has been the most awful week in our swift conservation in 7 years.

However it was just as distressing as the Knighton Road,  Earlswood swift colony being entirely blocked in 2021 in their breeding months and not knowing if swifts or bats had been trapped inside, also by Raven.

There are serious lessons to be learnt by Raven Housing Trust on buildings and wildlife, the legal requirement to carry out a nature survey and the adherence to the Countryside and Wildlife Act 1981.

Thank you to you all for your support.  You helped  make it happen!
