Demand Qantas and Jetstar to Dismiss Cabin Crew and Staff for Displaying Palestinian Badge

Demand Qantas and Jetstar to Dismiss Cabin Crew and Staff for Displaying Palestinian Badge
The issue
I am a member of the Jewish community, deeply disturbed by the recent actions of certain Qantas cabin crew members, Qantas check in staff and Jetstar check in staff who chose to wear Palestinian badges while on duty. This act has not only politicised a neutral space but also affected many passengers like me who believe in keeping politics separate from services like air travel.
Qantas and Jetstar as one of the world's leading airlines, should uphold its responsibility to provide an unbiased and comfortable environment for all its passengers. It is inappropriate for employees to display political affiliations while serving customers from diverse backgrounds and beliefs.
According to a Pew Research Center study, 64% of people believe that corporations should not take political stances (Pew Research Center, 2018). This incident clearly goes against public sentiment and infringes upon our right as consumers to enjoy a service free from political bias.
We urge Qantas and Jetstar management to take immediate action by dismissing these crew members and check in staff who have violated professional boundaries. By doing so, they will send a clear message that such behaviour is unacceptable within their organisation and ensure that future flights are free from unnecessary controversy or discomfort.
Please sign this petition if you agree with us that politics has no place in customer service industries like air travel.
