Good Morning

I am disheartened by the radio silence I am receiving since our meeting with Minister Shortens Advisor.

A follow up email was sent 2 days after reiterating the seriousness of ours and other independents stories and reiterating why stronger systems and protections MUST be implemented to the sector. Our proposal and solutions offered would ensure all independents working in the NDIS, safe and fair workplaces and conditions.

Whilst disheartened, I am still here, still receiving msgs containing other independents stories so I suppose I'm just going to have to push a little harder. I'll go to the media if I have to, to expose the lack of duty of care our Minister is showing those independents who work in the sector, who day after day, dutifully provide services for the most vulnerable members of our society.  A lack of duty of care to the Independents whose workplace isn't always a fair and safe environment and for those, who are at times, being subjected to unlawful behaviours and made to feel unsafe and vulnerable.

Every Worker has the right to a Safe and Fair Workplace

I'm asking for a call to arms. All I ask is if you copy and paste this update and email it to

Bill.Shorten.MP@aph.gov.au

with the headline being:  Minister, I support Emm Jones and she is waiting for her meeting!

Thanks for your support and I really hope to have some positive updates for you all very soon!
