I am a bilingual individual who enjoys immersing myself in different cultures through various forms of media. One of my favorite pastimes is playing video games, especially on PlayStation. However, my experience has been hindered by the regional locking system that PlayStation employs.

This system restricts access to games and content based on geographical location, preventing users from fully experiencing the diverse range of games available globally. This issue is particularly frustrating as most video games are dubbed into many languages, allowing for a more inclusive gaming experience.

Regional locking not only limits the cultural exchange but also hampers the growth of the global gaming community. According to Newzoo's Global Games Market Report 2020, there were 2.7 billion gamers worldwide last year (source: Newzoo). Imagine how much richer our shared experiences could be if we all had access to the same content.

We understand that there might be legal and licensing issues involved in this matter; however, other platforms like Netflix have managed to provide content globally with some variations due to these constraints (source: Netflix Media Center). We believe it's time for PlayStation to do so too.

We urge Sony Interactive Entertainment - owner of PlayStation - to reconsider their policy on regional locking and work towards creating a more inclusive platform where everyone can enjoy all its offerings regardless of their geographical location or language preference.
