However, I recently encountered an experience that left me genuinely fearful for my life—an experience with Top Thrill 2, Cedar Point's roller coaster that, shockingly, operates without seatbelts and solely relies on lap bars. If you, like me, value safety above temporary thrill, then this call to action is as personal to you as it is to me.

While thrill rides are loved for their adrenaline-pumping experiences, it is imperative to prioritize the safety and well-being of every rider. Top Thrill 2, an exhilarating yet dangerous ride, has overlooked integral safety measures that should be of utmost importance. Unlike other rides that feature both lap bars and seat belts to ensure maximum safety, Top Thrill 2 only relies on lap bars. This lack of a comprehensive safety mechanism poses a significant risk to riders, making it a tragedy waiting to happen.

Globally, amusement parks have prioritized safety by using redundant safety systems, understanding that technology can fail, but contingencies save lives. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, from 2015 to 2019, there had been an estimated average of over 30,000 injuries related to amusement attractions every year in the United States alone.
