It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Ted Turner, the visionary pioneer behind CNN, TBS, and many of the beloved networks we are fighting to protect today. Ted died peacefully at his home on May 6, 2026, at age 87. 

Ted Turner revolutionized the media landscape, proving that bold, independent leadership could change the world. As we continue to urge Paramount Skydance to halt the acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, we do so with renewed respect for the legacy he built. Ted’s spirit of innovation and his commitment to quality television remain the foundation of what we are fighting for. 

Rest in peace, Ted. Your vision lives on in the fans and creators who refuse to see your legacy dismantled.
