Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, public officials have had the responsibility to provide clear and timely information to the public to promote public health and safety. It has been alleged that during the crisis, Dr. Anthony Fauci, a prominent public health official, has disseminated misleading information pertaining to COVID-19, causing confusion and mistrust among the public.

As citizens, we demand the state of Oklahoma to hold Dr. Fauci accountable for any potential transgressions by launching an investigation into these allegations and to pursue any civil or criminal charges if evidence suggests misinformation. According to the Sheppard Institute, accurate public health communication is crucial to managing morbidity rates and ensuring that citizens adhere to guidelines that can save lives (Sheppard, 2019). Therefore, failure to provide accurate information is a severe issue, necessitating immediate action.

We urge all concerned Oklahoma citizens to lend their support to hold our public officials to the same standards of accountability as the rest of us.
