Thanks to everyone who has signed up to support this cause to prevent needless deaths from choking, at least in NSW schools.

Please share this petition with as many people as you can to let the NSW Education Department (and the Minister) know that hiding behind a poor understanding of the legal, legislative, and regulatory aspects of choking management, will not protect them or the NSW school students from suffering serious permanent brain injury and/or death by failing to implement a simple, effective and evidenced fix.

After yet another very confused and unevidenced letter from the DoE regarding their attitude to LifeVac, we have requested a meeting with the Minister. This was necessary as the DoE clearly has no idea of the legislation, the law, the regulatory framework, or even the status and rigor of their own policies and programs; and rather than meet they wish to just keep sending banal correspondence that shows a Department with a complete lack of knowledge and insight. 

The DoE does not understand that 'doing nothing' is not an option, as they risk harming more children and also placing teachers and the Department at risk of future litigation.
