Demand Northeastern creates an Emergency Contraceptive Vending Machine

Demand Northeastern creates an Emergency Contraceptive Vending Machine
The Issue
Northeastern University currently only provides Emergency Contraceptive for cases of sexual assault. At the drug store, emergency contraceptive runs around $50. Additionally, most emergency contraceptive has weight limits for effectiveness. Boston University recently installed an Emergency Contraceptive Vending Machine with subsidized products (about $7 per credit) in a location that is open 24/7. In the face of Roe v. Wade being overturned, access to reproductive care like Emergency Contraception is even more critical. Even with abortion access being better in MA than other states, NU supports a wide range of students from across the globe who have varying access to care. It is time for Northeastern to follow suit and install an Emergency Contraceptive Vending Machine on their Boston campus NOW.
