Demand Non-Confidence Vote for Ontario's Transportation and Labour Ministers
The Issue
We urge the Chief Electoral Officer of Ontario, Greg Essensa, to initiate a non-confidence vote against Minister of Transportation Prabmeet Singh and David Piccini, Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training, and Skills Development. It has become increasingly clear that these positions demonstrate a lack of sufficient training and enforcement within the transportation sector. This ineptitude contributes to hazardous conditions that daily commuters must face, placing their lives at risk. According to the Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF), the number of road crash fatalities in Ontario increased by 7% in 2018, a traumatic testament to the systemic inadequacies prevalent in the transportation industry. It continues to be neglected, this has lead to a further rise in preventable fatalities. We urge for immediate remedial steps and stronger reinforcement of traffic policies to rectify these deadly conditions. The importance of life preservation necessitates urgent actions. Please sign this petition to apply necessary pressures on the involved authorities and show that we, the public, will not tolerate ignorance towards our safety.
