The World Is Watching.

Good morning Friends!

It has come to my attention that our petition was recently covered by Fox News! This is a great step in the right direction, made possible by the support of each and every individual who has signed this pledge.

I believe it is important that our pushback is recognized because of the precedent this adaptation sets. Personal interpretation as a main literary focus only became prevalent in about the mid 1900s, and since then authorial intent has taken a significant back-step. Without this kind of response to the degradation of literature, authors risk having their works being misrepresented becoming the "new norm". While I am not opposed to personal interpretation, it is something I firmly believe should be held alongside an understanding of authorial intent, not as a replacement.

In this way, I see this petition not solely being a protection of C.S Lewis, but of every author across every era. Thank you to each and every one of you for taking the time,  and even finances, to support our collective efforts.
