Demand Mohammed Ben Sulayem's step down from President of FIA

Demand Mohammed Ben Sulayem's step down from President of FIA
The Issue
I am writing as a deeply concerned participant in the world of motorsport. Under Mohammed Ben Sulayem's (MBS) regime, the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) has taken a turn for the worse. MBS's personal beliefs have taken precedence over the best interest of the sports we hold dear, and this cannot continue.
MBS treats drivers, the backbone of our sports, as naive beings without agency. His latest rules on sporting penalties are a poignant example of his authoritarian grip on the FIA—we are turning into a dictatorship, rather than a sports governing body built on fair play and shared interest.
The FIA, under MBS's tenure, is no longer recognisable, it's no longer our FIA. The vibrant, participant-focused organisation that existed in years past is being rapidly and unthinkably replaced by an autocratic institution, driven by the caprices of one man.
It is time for a change, a return to the conscious, participant-centric leadership that made FIA a worldwide beacon for the best in motorsports governance. We need the FIA to function in the best interest of the sports, its participants, and the millions of fans worldwide watching with high hopes and expectations.
We demand MBS step down as President immediately. For the future of our sports, for the welfare of our drivers, and for the integrity of motorsports; it's time for MBS to step down. Please sign this petition to add your voice to the loudening roar for change.
