I am writing this petition out of deep frustration with Meta’s lack of proper customer service. After losing my business information on WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, I was met with automated bot responses instead of a real person who could actually help.

Unlike Meta, Google still provides real human chat services, and I’ve used them. However, even Google support told me only Meta could resolve my issue, as they hold my encrypted data. That’s both shocking and worrying. Meta controls access to my personal information but offers no real human support to help retrieve it or resolve the issue.

This isn’t just poor service, it’s a serious breach of responsibility. Every day, users experience data loss or technical issues, but are left to deal with frustrating, ineffective bots. For a company that holds so much of our personal and business data, this lack of accountability is unacceptable.

Meta must do better. They need to reinstate proper customer service with real human representatives who can assist users when things go wrong. Bots cannot replace the value of speaking or chatting to someone who truly understands and can solve the problem or escalate the problem for you.
