The Issue

I live in New Jersey, and recently, a horrifying event unfolded close to my home. Eight individuals were arrested for operating a dog fighting ring where over 120 dogs, specifically Pitbulls, were bred and raised solely for the purpose of fighting. These innocent animals lived lives filled with abuse and neglect.

The dogs rescued from this property are in terrible shape according to reports from the Humane Society. They have endured unimaginable suffering at the hands of these individuals who showed no regard for their well-being or their right to live peaceful lives.

Dog fighting is not just cruel; it's illegal. In New Jersey, dog fighting is considered a third-degree crime that carries a sentence of three to five years imprisonment per charge under N.J.S.A 4:22-24 et seq., yet often these sentences are not fully enforced.

We cannot allow this horrific act of cruelty go unpunished. We need your help to ensure that those responsible receive the maximum sentence possible under law - not just for one charge but each individual count representing every single life they've harmed.

By signing this petition, you're standing up against animal cruelty and sending a clear message that such barbaric acts will not be tolerated in our society. Please sign today and demand justice for these innocent dogs.

We are not only asking for the Maximum Sentences for each charge, we are Requesting there be no Deals and no Plea's. And each defendant be held in jail awaiting trial. The 128 Pitbulls, plus the many many more prior to the raid, had No Freedom! They had no say!! Beaten Starved in Pain and  Emancipated.
