Demand Maximum Sentence for murderer Dennis Alcox

The Issue

As some of you may know our family has been deeply shattered by the brutal murder of my beautiful niece Audreanna, at the hands of this cold-blooded killer Dennis Alcox who she only knew a short time.

Our pain is further magnified by the leniency of a plea deal, through which Alcox is being offered a drastically reduced sentence, going from 1st Degree Murder to Voluntary Manslaughter and letting him serve just a few years for such a horrific premeditated crime.

Dennis Alcox was on pre-trial and GPS monitoring for shooting a 16-year-old child in the middle of the street and was released back into our community when he committed this senseless act that took Audreanna's life. Alcox is a repeat offender, with a documented track record of criminal behavior, exhibiting his inability or unwillingness to rehabilitate himself and conform to societal norms. His lenient sentence not only mocks justice but is also a danger to the safety of our community.

The case involving Audreaanna reflects a larger issue within our criminal justice system where too often heinous crimes do not receive the severity of punishment they warrant. Look at the news our city is under fire. There are shootings every night. Multiple homicides. Kids being gunned down. This has to stop.

We call upon the District Attorney’s office and the Honorable Judge presiding over this case to reconsider the leniency of their plea deal and let justice be served with a lifetime in prison for Dennis Alcox.

Please, sign this petition and stand with us, for Aundreanna and all the victims like her that deserve justice. Let your voice be heard on this matter so that we can keep our community safe.  So we can keep monsters like this off of our streets.
