Demand Legal Action Against Persons Torturing Animals!

The Issue

Four people committing animal torture as a group. (How did they even find each other?)

Animal cruelty laws often lack the necessary bite to deter potential offenders.

Unfortunately, when offenders are identified, the consequences also fall short.

Here is the local news report of the four individuals in WI: 4 people, including 3 juveniles, torture and kill animals for over a year, finally caught. Will they get off easy? Most likely.

The capacity to feel pain, to fear, to experience stress and suffering is not exclusive to humans.

Here is another heartbreaking example from different offender in WY: Cody chases and partially runs wolf over with snowmobile, then parades around and tortures it.

These acts and many more like them are quick on and off news because they are horrific and depressing. But not wanting to hear, talk, read, or even know about something doesn’t change that we need to do something about it.

These acts are horrendous and it is only logical to convict individuals accordingly. (**Especially taking into consideration that animal torture and abuse is a precursor to hurting fellow human beings.**)

Federal and state laws need to: enforce protection, reward those that speak up, and set appropriate consequences for people that torture living things, both domestic animals and wildlife.

I also urge lawmakers to classify animal abuse and torture committed by juveniles, like the 3 sixteen year olds, who admittedly know better, as a serious crime, as adults, due to the serious and intentional acts they committed, repeatedly.

Change must begin somewhere, and this is my plea. Amplify this voice for the unheard—sign this petition.

Stop Animal Abuse, Strengthen State & Federal Laws to better protect domestic and wildlife.
