Thank you for the overwhelming response to this petition. The growing supports has perhaps managed to get LTA to clarify that the OBU unit can be installed at driver side.

However, this has always been the case. I have also checked with agent on this but it seems that many models does not have the hard surface required for the mounting since it is done via double sided tape. This will mean there will be model which still have to have their OBU install at the passenger side.

Nonetheless, it is good that LTA came out to clarify this. 

Let's still keep the petition going. Driver's voices be heard and should be.
