The Issue

In San Joaquin County, CA, I had an emotionally devastating experience with the court system. My late mother's urn, a cherished family possession, was stolen. As the rightful keeper of her ashes, this violation hit hard. Initially, visiting the court was meant to resolve this deeply personal issue. Instead, I was met with a system that failed to address my rightful complaint.

The heart of the matter, the theft of my mother's urn, was never discussed in court. The focus was inexplicably shifted away from the theft and onto issuing a restraining order against me. Shockingly, this occurred despite the defendant coming to my home, harassing me, and aggressively confronting me without cause.

How is it fair that while trying to reclaim my property and my dignity, I was dismissed and burdened with a restraining order for five years? This miscarriage of justice is not just a personal burden, but a reflection of a system that needs immediate reform.

Why is it acceptable for a theft as significant as someone's ashes to go without consequence? Why are victims further victimized in a place that should offer justice and resolution? These questions demand answers, and the system demands reform.

Sign this petition to call for a reassessment of my case and necessary reforms in the San Joaquin County Court System to ensure fairness and accountability for all citizens.
