On August 26, 2022, Zakaria Khalis, a professional DJ, was violently assaulted while working in Dakhla, Morocco.

 

He suffered a head injury with lasting consequences.

After the assault:
- No emergency assistance was provided
- No workplace accident was declared
- He faced pressure and intimidation
- He was dismissed during medical leave
- His legal case was rejected without examining the facts

This raises serious concerns about worker protection and access to justice.

We call for:
- A full and independent review of the case
- Examination of all evidence
- Accountability for what happened
- Protection of workers facing similar situations

No worker should be assaulted and then ignored.
