An act of Terrorism: How long should we remain inactive against the terrorists and terrorism in Manipur

On the night of 7th April 2026, a heinous act of terrorism shattered the tranquility of Bishnupur, Manipur, leaving a scar on the hearts of an already bereaved family. Chinglensana, a mere five-year-old boy, and his infant sister, Chingbema, were brutally killed while they slept, victims of an RPG attack carried out by unidentified terrorists. Their innocent lives were snuffed out in an unimaginable act of violence, leaving their family in unimaginable grief and despair.

Father a BSF soldier mother a nurse leaving into a complete destruction of a sweet family

The tragedy that struck that night was not an isolated incident, but a symptom of the more significant issues of security failures in the region. Despite the severity of this crime, justice remains elusive. The perpetrators roam free, unpunished for their atrocious acts. This cannot stand. The families of Chinglensana and Chingbema deserve answers, and they deserve justice.

We urge the local government and authorities to launch an immediate, transparent and thorough investigation into this merciless attack. Every stone must be unturned to bring those responsible to justice, and swift legal action is needed to ensure these perpetrators do not have the chance to inflict pain on any more families.

This is not just about justice for Chinglensana and Chingbema; it's about protecting other families from facing similar heartache and trauma. By signing this petition, you demand accountability from those in power, ensure the safety of future generations, and give voice to a family whose cries for justice should not be ignored.
Let us stand together against terrorists and terrorism

Respectfully, it is submitted that the tragic loss of life on both sides—two children killed in a suspected militant projectile attack and three civilians killed in the subsequent CRPF firing—must not be reduced to a media‑driven narrative of “inevitable violence”.

The Union Government is requested to ensure that each incident is treated as a distinct breach of public order and human rights, investigated with full transparency, and met with clear, visible accountability, so that the people of Manipur can once again repose faith in the justice and impartiality of the security and administrative apparatus.

We urge the Government of India to take immediate and decisive action:

1.Conduct a time-bound investigation by a central agency such as CBI/NIA

2.Identify, arrest, and prosecute all those responsible without delay

3.Ensure adequate security and protection for innocent civilians in affected areas

3.Provide fair compensation and long-term support to the victims’ families

Justice delayed is justice denied. We appeal to the authorities to act swiftly and ensure that such tragedies never happen again.
