I wanted to give everyone an update.
So far this is what this petition has accomplished
- A direct responce from the WCRP (Washington County Republican Party)[They informed us this:] has been made aware of the severity of the charges filed against Controller April Sloane. Because of their nature, WCRP will no longer associate ourselves with her, and our sincere condolences go out to all those impacted by this horrific situation.
- The Washington County commissioners have denounced her and are demanding her immediate resignation.
- She has been arrested from her office and charged with 2 class 3 felonies and 1 class 3 misdemeanor
This is all great news and I thank you for every signiture and share of this petition.
WHAT WE NEED NOW:
We still need your help. We need to show our DA, Senator's, and Governor that we expect April Sloane
1. NOT TO BE ALLOWED A PLEA DEAL AND WE WANT HER HELD TO THE MAXIMUM SENTENCES ON EACH OF HER CHARGES!
She was released on $250,000 unsecured bond, which basically means she signed a paper and walked out with not spending any time in jail! With the bond being unsecured. She didn't have to pay a penny. No fingerprints. No mugshot. No jail. They show her leaving on the news. No police or handcuffs.
2. Go to the preliminary hearing Dec 19th at 1:00pm . Even if we aren’t allowed inside stand outside . Let them know that Washington County that voters and tax payers across this county; the county will not stand for this abuser to be given a slap on the wrists.
3. We want her resignation and or removal from office.
4. We want her to not recieve any salary while she is dealing with the consequences of her abuse and death of Thor.
