Demand Justice for Harley Leflore's Death

The Issue

Losing Harley, my baby brother, on April 8, 2025, has left a gaping wound in our family. The pain of his sudden and unexplained death is only magnified by the lack of answers and accountability from the Oklahoma Department of Corrections (ODOC) and Northeast Oklahoma Correctional Center (NEOCC). Harley was not just a statistic or an inmate; he was a beloved brother, and his life was precious to us. I refuse to stand by while the details surrounding his death are obscured and hidden.

We are calling on the ODOC and NEOCC to publicly acknowledge Harley's untimely death. Transparency is vital in restoring trust, and it's essential that all records related to his demise, including medical and incident reports, be released. The truth deserves to be known, not just for Harley, but for other families who, like ours, suffer in silence.

Furthermore, we demand an independent investigation to delve into the circumstances surrounding Harley’s death. It's paramount that this investigation is thorough and unbiased, to ensure that any potential medical neglect or wrongdoing is uncovered. If staff have failed in their duty of care, they should be held accountable for their actions.

To prevent future tragedies, reforms must be enacted within these institutions. The life of another brother, son, or loved one should not be lost due to preventable causes or negligence.

Harley's death cannot and should not remain a mystery. Join me in seeking justice and change. Sign this petition to hold the responsible parties accountable and to advocate for transparency and reform in our prison system.
