Three pigs Big Tony, Vinny, and Pauly, or the "Jersey boys" as they've been affectionately known since their rescue last July are survivors from the Twist of Fate cruelty case. They used to be known as Joey, Chandler, and Tut. Joey (Tony, on the left) is all pink with darker spots around his eyebrows, Chandler (Pauly, center) is all black with white feet, and Tut (Vinny, right) is spotted.

Based on old posts, Joey is around 7 years old and however he originally arrived to TOF he arrived neglected and malnourished. I have no idea where Chandler and Tut came from, but Chandler and Joey (named after the characters on the TV show 'Friends') are included in posts on the old TOF Patreon as far back as 2017. Based on their names they could be related or have just arrived around the same time. I have no old posts or even any old photos of Tut, so his past is a mystery. The last post about any of the three is from June 2018, though most likely Ashley DiFelice posted about them afterwards on the Twist of Fate Instagram.

Joey and Chandler befriended another pig at TOF named Hamilton* and they became a very bonded trio. Hamilton had his story shared some time ago and ended up being one of the animals that Ashley illegally took across state lines and is currently holding "hostage". As far as anyone knows he is still alive and is being fed, though it's anyone's guess if his medical needs are being taken care of as well.

The three boys were taken in by Harmony Farm Sanctuary (@harmontyfarmsanctuaryvt) in Wolcott, Vermont USA. To go along with their new life and fresh start they were given their new names. Tony (Joey) arrived so overweight that he was "fat blind" and had problems seeing, but was also hyper vigilant as a result. He was always the first out of the stall in the mornings to go and explore! Vinny (Tut) was a total love bug and came right over every time for belly rubs. Pauly (Chandler) was also overweight and had severe arthritis too, so he walked very gingerly. At Harmony Farm he was put on meds to help with the pain from his arthritis. They are encouraged to go for walks in the fresh air to get some exercise by following the trails of healthy snacks laid out for them and they love to root for sunflower seeds for additional treats and enrichment. The boys also enjoy listening to music on the radio in their barn!

At one point they were used to humans and trusted them, but after what Ashley did to them they were suspicious, weary, and fearful of people so it took some time to gain their trust back. Harmony Farm does have other pig residents, but this trio tends to stick with each other, most likely from the trauma bond that they have formed. They do however visit with their other pig friends on the property, including "hiking" pig Charlie!

If you would like to support Harmony Farm, please give them a follow on Instagram @harmonyfarmsanctuaryvt! They're a smaller sanctuary and could use the numbers and exposure, plus you can see the vast difference between these boys then and now and how great they look since the photo above is of them on their way to HF after being rescued from Ashley and Twist of Fate. You can also find them on Facebook. To donate towards the care of the Jersey boys or any of their other animals, you can do so via PayPal or Venmo (linked in their Instagram profile), where they also have a fundraiser set up for Giving Tuesday! Even if they have already made their goal, please remember that there is no such thing as "excess" when it comes to non-profits. Any and all funds go towards the care of the animals, whether it's for food, bedding, regular vet care, medications, emergencies, or upkeep of the property. Every little bit helps if you would like to donate towards their current GT fundraiser or just in general, and they're also looking to raise funds to expand their pig area. They also have an Amazon Wishlist, a Chewy Wishlist, and/or you can send them mats for their pig barn, currently for sale at Lowe's. Harmony Farm also has cute merch for sale on Bonfire, and you can also sponsor one of the Jersey boys! AND did you know that you can book a stay at this vegan sanctuary?? It's an adorable space and makes for a great trip to the beautiful state of Vermont. You can read more about it, view the photos, and book the accommodations here

I also wanted to mention that earlier this week Jon, one of the founders of Harmony Farm along with his wife Maramonie lost his sister Amy in a domestic violence incident. This has absolutely devastated both of them and I want to also post the information that they have been sharing for the last few days: "If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, please contact the Domestic Violence Hotline immediately at 800-799-7233."

Please feel free to leave them some words of love, condolences, comfort, or support here or on one of their Instagram posts @harmonyfarmsanctuaryvt. Amy has two children, Reilly and Caden, and a GoFundMe has been set up to help with their finances while they're processing this unimaginable loss. You can find this fundraiser here

Thank you to Harmony Farm for taking such good care of these boys, and our thoughts, prayers, and hearts are with all of them.

And thank you to all of you for being here.

Ashley DiFelice's next court date still has not been announced. Please continue to share the petition in the meantime!
