Johnny (pictured above) is a handsome goat that was rescued from the former Twist of Fate by EZ's Rescue Ranch (@ezsrescueranch) in Sicklerville, NJ along with three other goats named Cash, Jimi, and Hendrix. These 4 boys were EZ's very first rescue!

Johnny sadly and tragically died THE DAY AFTER he was rescued. His poor body could only endure so much and he passed away as a result of Ashley DiFelice's neglect. I obtained a copy of his necropsy report courtesy of EZ's Rescue. Unfortunately change.org only allows the upload of one photo per update, so I will have to make two more updates so that I can include the full 2 page report. 

To summarize it though, there were a few things that I didn't understand and had to look up since there was a lot of medical jargon, but one of the most horrifying sentences in the whole document is "The skeletal musculature is diffusely thinned, and the skeleton is prominent."

Along with diagnosing his emaciation, the report also states that Johnny had a variety of parasites  - this poor boy was basically being eaten alive inside and outside of his body, all while suffering the pain and agony of slowly starving to death as well. Ashley could have seen him suffering, or maybe he was one of the goats locked inside a barn stall and left to die. Either way, she did this to him on purpose and then didn't do anything to help him. How many hours, days, weeks did she ignore his cries of pain and hunger?

Johnny's death broke the hearts of everyone at EZ's Rescue Ranch, as well as those of us that have been following this story and that of the animals rescued.  EZ's and everyone else thought that Johnny was now safe and could recover. They believed that he could be healthy and happy in his new home. This was his THIRD rescue in his short life, but he didn't make it because Ashley had already damned him.

Ashley DiFelice's cruel actions claimed so many lives. Johnny was one of three animals to die after they were rescued, along with Norman and Brienne, two sheep mentioned in the original petition. Johnny, Norman & Brienne were rescued, safe, and loved, but unfortunately the damage that Ashley inflicted had already been done.
