The Issue

My name is Keyona (formerly), and I am fighting for the freedom of my brother, Darrell D. Wakefield, who has been wrongfully accused and incarcerated with NO PHYSICAL EVIDENCE

NO RAPE KIT. NO MEDICAL EXAM. NO FORENSIC INTERVIEW.

JUST ACCUSATIONS BASED ON WORDS – NOT FACTS.

Darrell is not only innocent, but also gravely ill. He suffers from AIDS, seizures, bipolar disorder, mild schizophrenia, ADHD, and depression. Instead of receiving care, he is being denied medical treatment, left to suffer, and railroaded by a broken system.

Over 25 women have come forward confirming that Darrell has babysat their children with ZERO incidents.

The authorities let him continue watching kids for months after the allegations.
His attempts to file defamation charges were ignored by the system FOUR TIMES.

✅ The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office erased key evidence, including Facebook messages and live videos where people admitted the alleged victims had a history of lying.
IF THEY CAN DO THIS TO HIM, THEY CAN DO THIS TO ANYONE.

As his sister, I am writing not just as a concerned citizen, but as a deeply aggrieved sister. My brother, Darrell Dametray Wakefield, faces the agonizing reality of incarceration in South Carolina, having been unjustly convicted on charges of first- and third-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC) despite there being no physical evidence to support these allegations.

Darrell’s case is a shocking example of injustices that have seemingly infiltrated our justice system. He is a victim not just of wrongful accusations but of gross civil rights infringements, including prosecutorial misconduct and constitutional violations. Everyone, regardless of the charges laid against them, deserves the right to a fair and unbiased trial.

In the name of justice, we implore the relevant authorities to review Darrell D. Wakefield's case, to consider the lack of physical evidence, and to rectify the miscarriages of justice he has suffered. Every day that passes is another day of unjust torment for Darrell and our family.

By signing this petition, you stand with us in our fight against wrongful incarceration and the infringement of civil rights. Help us free Darrell D. Wakefield and bring him home. Please, sign and share this petition widely.
