The Issue

The story of Arabella, a young girl subjected to unimaginable cruelty, continues to go unheard. we should be outraged!

In 2022, right under our noses in Spring Valley, CA, Arabella (11 years old) was tortured, beaten, and starved to death by the very foster parents who were supposed to provide for her, love her, and keep her safe. These people had tortured her since she was 7 years old, Arabella died weighing just 48 pounds at the time of her death when the police arrived they described her body as "a corpse with skin stretched over it" she died two days later..

below is a photo of Arabella's left knee at the time of her death. They were unable to share other photos because it was too gruesome.

Her two younger sisters also suffered horrendous abuse at the hands of their foster parents and grandparents. The proposed punishment for these heinous crimes is a maximum of 46 years in prison. This is not enough; these criminals should face the harshest penalties possible. Life in prison without the possibility of parole

In addition to the immediate deliverance of justice for Arabella and her sisters, we need to make significant changes to the system that failed these innocent girls. Teacher(s) and a police officer knew about the abuse and did not intervene. These professionals, who are in positions of trust and are mandated reporters of child abuse, need to be held accountable for their negligence; they should be dismissed from their roles. Social workers involved must also face consequences, including the revocation of their licensure. We need to overhaul child protection services to ensure that every child in the care system is safe, protected, and loved. Every year, hundreds of thousands of children are placed in foster care–we must do better for them.

Arabella's life was unbearably tragic, but her legacy can be one of significant change. We must fight for her, for her sisters, for every other child in foster care who has been silenced, neglected, or forgotten. Arabella may have been just one child, but to me, and hopefully to you, she mattered. Please lend your support and call on our legislative bodies, child protective services, and educational institutions to act now.

Sign this petition, demand justice for Arabella and an overhaul of our flawed system. Let's ensure no other child has to endure what she did.
