My niece has tragically been ensnared in the system since birth, a victim of the very entity meant to protect her—DCS West. Instead of safeguarding and nurturing her, they have followed a path marred by an unfathomable agenda to keep her from the love and safety of her family. Despite countless alerts and complaints regarding her case manager, whose negligence led to three tragic fatalities and eventual dismissal, little has changed. Our cries for help have been systematically ignored by those in power. This situation does not only involve the heartbreaking separation of a family—it exposes a broader issue within the DCS West office in Indianapolis.

Children under the care of the Department of Child Services should be cherished and protected, yet there seem to be systematic failures happening under our noses.
