Jennifer M. Grieco AGAIN charged with DUI
Two days after Mundelein Mayor announced on Facebook that Trustee Jennifer M. Grieco would be resigning, the Daily Herald is reporting that the trustee has been charged with another DUI, claiming "it was the second such arrest in less than a year."
The second DUI arrest occurred Friday, August 21st, 2026. She resigned via email on Tuesday, August 18.
The Daily Herald reports "Grieco was arrested about 5 p.m. Friday in an unincorporated area of Lake County near Lake Bluff after someone called 911 about a possibly impaired driver, according to the Lake County sheriff’s office. The caller reportedly saw the driver drinking from a bottle of alcohol in a gas station parking lot, Deputy Chief Christopher Covelli said. A deputy spotted Grieco’s white Alfa Romeo sedan turning onto northbound Reigate Lane from Buckley Road and stopped it, Covelli said. Grieco started to drive off while speaking with the deputy, Covelli said, so the deputy stopped her a second time and got her out of the car. Grieco’s breath smelled of alcohol and she failed field sobriety tests, Covelli said."
