The Eurovision Song Contest, an event designed to bring audiences and countries together, is being marred by the participation of Israel, an apartheid state which has been perpetuating violence against innocent Palestinian men, women and children for more than half a century.

The world watches on in horror at the ongoing genocide in Gaza and intensifying violence against Palestinians in the West Bank which has resulted in countless casualties over the past months.

We must hold all Eurovision participants accountable for their actions outside of the contest. By allowing Israel's continued participation despite its ongoing persecution of Palestinians, we are indirectly endorsing their brutal actions.

Let us use our voices not just for singing but for speaking up against injustice. Let us demand accountability from all participants in international events like Eurovision. Let us call for Israel's suspension from this contest until they cease their persecution of Palestinian people.

Russia have been suspended from the contest due to their ongoing aggression against the Ukrainian state. All participating countries must be held to the same high standards.
