The Issue
My name is Janeece Smith a concerned citizen, and I believe not only my civil and constitutional rights have been violated but many others as well. This petition is not just about my situation; it's about justice, fairness, and the rule of law. We are calling for a full investigation of our local sheriff Bob Songers, Klickitat County Sheriff who has shown a clear disregard for these principles.
In our society, law enforcement officers are sworn under oath to uphold the law impartially, and practice the minimum of basic human rights in the jails they control.
However, in my case and others, this practice of law was not met. The sheriff's actions in multiple areas of his sworn duty have caused not only myself but many others distress and harm while undermining public safety in our local law enforcement.
