Our WyndWater Community and surrounding residents in Hampstead, North Carolina are experiencing severe issues with water quality. Our water supply is brown and its overall quality is substandard. Despite numerous attempts at media exposure, we've seen little success in drawing attention to this grave concern that is affecting our daily lives. This alarming state of services being delivered by our utility company is unacceptable, particularly as we are paying customers. The repeated attempts to flush our systems have not provided a long-term solution, with the brown water recurring effectively making it impossible for us to use it for bathing, especially for our children. According to the World Health Organization, access to safe drinking-water is essential to health and a basic human right. Yet, we find ourselves deprived of this right. We call on the relevant authorities to urgently intervene and take drastic steps to improve the water quality in our community.
