We are deeply concerned parents whose children are regularly exposed to unhealthy and unsafe environments within Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS). Our children are witnessing and experiencing sex, drugs, violence, denial of special education services, favoritism, discrimination, and enduring unlawful threats and intimidation. It has come to our attention that various school officials are breaching professional boundaries, yet they refuse to take responsibility or invoke necessary changes when these serious issues are brought to light.

The problematic culture within CMCSS is highly detrimental to our youths' physical safety, emotional wellbeing, and academic progress. It is extremely alarming to see that the school's response has been mostly dismissive and unconstructive. We urge CMCSS to acknowledge their failed attempts to maintain a level of safety and wellbeing, take immediate responsibility, and rectify the situation right away.

Our schools must be held to a higher standard. They should be places where our children can thrive, rather than being exposed to such harmful elements. We encourage all parents, guardians, students, staff, and concerned community members to join us in this call for an urgent system overhaul within CMCSS to cultivate a safe, nurturing, accountable, and equitable learning environment. 

The time for bandaging symptoms is over. Now is the time for CMCSS to step up, renew their commitment to their students, and effect meaningful change.

Per their mission statement, "to educate and empower our students to reach their potential", but many of us are being forced to remove our children from these schools due to their failed attempts that have stifled potential, caused regression and/or trauma.
