To whom it should concern, 

How would You feel if everyone looked at you differently? Or if they thought less of you, when really, you know that is not true.

Autism has been around for decades, yet we know so little about it. We do not even fully understand why it occurs. We force individuals with autism adapt to our world when I'm reality, we should be adapting to theirs.

*Autism is REAL, despite what some people say/believe. Their is no known "cure" for autism. Most individuals with autism can live a normal life, they just need accommodations. While others will need some kind of legal guardian for the rest of their lives. Is it right? No. Is it fair? No. Is that life? Unfortunately, or at least until we obtain more funding and resources that are actually helpful.

There are too many harmful myths about autism, but the biggest one has to be that "vaccines cause autism!" First off, we do not know this for a fact, and second, let's be honest. Vaccines do save lives, and they prevent anyone else from becoming ill. 

Once again: many people won't get child vaccinated because they THINK it causes Autism.

 So let me ask you, would you not love your child because they have autism? Because they need a little more help? Because their brain works different? Because they are different? 

There are so many successful individuals with autism out there! Listen to their stories, and be inspired! You can help make a difference!

- Fun Fact: Autism is more common in boys than girls. 

Better research would mean that ALL voices would finally be heard. 

**What I want out of this petition: More research, More funding for programs for individuals of all ages, More Awareness, and better tools for success. I also want communication tools for those who are Nonverbal (ex. iPads, etc...).
