Demand HBO's Accountability for "Mommy Dead and Dearest" Misrepresentations of Dee Dee.

Demand HBO's Accountability for "Mommy Dead and Dearest" Misrepresentations of Dee Dee.
The Issue
As a deeply affected individual with a personal connection to the issue, I am disturbed by the misinformation presented in the HBO Documentary "Mommy Dead and Dearest". The documentary falls short in providing an unbiased representation of the events surrounding the Blanchard case, painting a manipulative and false image of Dee Dee Blanchard as an "Evil" mother suffering from Munchausen By Proxy, an illness she was not officially diagnosed with.
This global false narrative has severely affected not only the family members but also the genuine victims of Munchausen By Proxy who grapple with the reality of the condition every day. Ensuring accurate representation of MBP is critical, as it affects around 1 in 50,000 children worldwide (Sources: Action Against Medical Accidents).
Demanding accuracy in public information is not about validating or justifying the tragic death of Dee Dee Blanchard. Rather, it's about pushing for responsible media representations that do not howl over the truth or construct injurious narratives.
We call on HBO, Erin Lee Carr, and Andrew Rossi to remove the documentary, issue a retraction and public apology to the Pitre Family, and finally put an end to the propagation of this false narrative. Stand with us in advocating for responsible and conscientious factual storytelling - sign the petition.
