Thank you so much to everyone who has signed and shared so far, your support really is so appreciated.

An update: our petition will be featured in the December issue of Hurst Life as a final push for more signatures. We’ve also had interest from the council’s planning accessibility officer, who has now submitted photos to highlight just how dangerous and inaccessible this stretch of road is.

I’m teaming up with a lovely neighbour, who has seen the area getting “steadily busier & more dangerous for pedestrians over the 15 years that we have lived here. Unfortunately drivers are often travelling too fast around the blind bends & we have witnessed and experienced near misses. A path off the road for pedestrians is essential. I hope we don’t have to have a tragedy occur before this is prioritised!”

She has also been in contact with councillor Joy Dennis for some time, and is working to arrange a meeting where we can present Joy with the amazing community support shown through this petition.

If you’d like to help us keep the momentum going, please consider sharing the petition with just one more person. Are you part of any local WhatsApp groups or Facebook communities? Has everyone in your household signed? Could you pass it on to a neighbour?

Every share helps. Thank you again 💛
