We ask the National Medal of Honor Museum to revise their decision to not represent John Chapman's sacrifice and deeds amongst their exhibits. The Museum's choice to honor Britt Slabinsky without acknowledging John Chapman appears influenced by politics and seems like an extension of the Naval Special Warfare's efforts to diminish Chapman's contributions.

It must be noted that John Chapman, only the second recipient recorded during his actions, is an invaluable source of historical authenticity. The omission of this crucial element from the exhibits is an ill-conceived misstep and a disservice to Chapman's memory, to his bravery, and to the sacrifice he made for the nation. Please revisit this decision and consider paying fitting tribute to John Chapman in one of the 200 exhibits.
