I’ve received some promising but *unofficial* information from a fellow Silverado owner from a dealer regarding the Safety Recall N25249400/1/2 for the Silverado. Here’s the key detail: 

Extended Coverage: Vehicles inspected/repaired under this recall will receive a 10-year/240,000km Special Coverage (N252494003-ZSPP) for the related engine issue, starting from the vehicle’s original purchase/registration date. This is in addition to existing warranties and doesn’t affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law. 

However, this info isn’t yet publicly confirmed by GMSV, so we’re still awaiting official documentation. 

Verify with Your Dealer: If you’ve had recall work done, ask about this Special Coverage. 
Push for Transparency: Let’s encourage GMSV to release this publicly so all owners are aware.
