Subject: Demand for Answers and Accountability Regarding the Dismissal of Mrs. Jessica Olinger
Dear Members of the Roundup School Board,
WE are writing on behalf of concerned students, parents, teachers, and community members regarding the recent and highly controversial dismissal of Mrs. Jessica Olinger from her position as a world history teacher at Roundup High School. The decision to terminate her employment has sparked outrage within our community, culminating in today’s student and staff walkout—a clear and undeniable statement that this action was neither justified nor accepted by those who know and respect Mrs. Olinger.
Mrs. Olinger is more than just an educator; she is a mentor, a role model, and a pillar of our school community. Her dedication to students has gone beyond the classroom, and her absence is already deeply felt. The lack of transparency surrounding her dismissal is unacceptable, and we demand immediate answers and accountability from those responsible.
Therefore, we are requesting the following:
- A Public Explanation – A clear and honest statement detailing the reasons for Mrs. Olinger’s termination, including any alleged policy violations or performance concerns that led to this decision. The community deserves to know why a valued teacher has been removed.
2. A Review of the Decision – We demand a full, impartial review of the circumstances leading to her dismissal. If this decision was made unjustly or without proper cause, immediate action must be taken to rectify the situation.
3. Accountability from the Administration – If any school officials involved in this decision acted improperly, unethically, or against the best interests of the students, they must be held accountable.
4. The Opportunity for Reinstatement – If no legitimate, documented cause for Mrs. Olinger’s firing exists, we demand that she be reinstated to her position immediately.
5. A Public Forum for Community Voices – A scheduled, open meeting where students, parents, and staff can voice their concerns, ask direct questions, and receive truthful answers regarding this situation.
The fact that students and staff felt compelled to walk out of their classrooms today should make it abundantly clear that this is not a minor issue to be brushed aside. The administration has a responsibility to listen to the very people they are meant to serve.
We expect a response to these concerns by [specific deadline, e.g., one week from the date of this letter]. Should we not receive a satisfactory explanation or appropriate action, we will continue to escalate our efforts, including additional demonstrations, media outreach, and legal inquiries into potential wrongful termination.
We stand united in demanding fairness, transparency, and justice for Mrs. Olinger. The integrity of our school and the trust between the administration and the community depend on it.
Sincerely,
THE UNDERSIGNED
