Demand for Action: Revoke Seyed Majid Hosseini's Visa to Uphold Canadian Values
The Issue
To the Esteemed Government of Canada,
We, the undersigned members of the Iranian-Canadian community, urgently bring forth this petition to address a matter of great concern regarding the presence of Seyyed Majid Hosseini within Canadian borders.
It has come to our attention that Mr. Hosseini, a high-profile political figure with close ties to the Islamic regime, was witnessed driving a vehicle to an Iranian restaurant in North Vancouver, BC, Canada. As the personal advisor to Mr. Ghalibaf, the Mayor of Greater Tehran, Mr. Hosseini's presence on Canadian soil raises serious questions about the potential misuse of our country as a safe haven for individuals associated with regimes that stand in stark contrast to the values of democracy and freedom.
Mr. Hosseini's connections to the Islamic regime and his active support for right-wing elements in the Iranian government are well-documented. He has been instrumental in suppressing the freedom-seeking individuals of Iran and has played a significant role in bolstering the oppressive regime. Furthermore, his involvement in the eleventh election of the Islamic regime Majlis in Iran, where he sought to secure a position in the Senate, is a testament to his unwavering commitment to the oppressive ideologies that the Iranian people have long sought to overcome.
The Iranian-Canadian community cannot stand idly by as individuals like Mr. Hosseini exploit the hospitality of Canada to further their political agendas, which run counter to the principles of justice and human rights. We, therefore, implore the Canadian government to take immediate and decisive action by deporting Mr. Hosseini back to Iran.
Allowing Mr. Hosseini to remain in Canada not only jeopardizes the safety and freedom of the Iranian diaspora but also undermines the values that Canada holds dear.
We call upon the Canadian government to uphold the principles of democracy, justice, and human rights by swiftly deporting Mr. Seyyed Majid Hosseini, thereby reaffirming Canada's commitment to providing a safe and secure environment for its citizens.
We trust that our concerns will be met with the utmost urgency and that appropriate action will be taken to safeguard the democratic values that define the essence of our beloved Canada.
Respectfully,
Mira Nassiri

UPDATE ( December 03, 2023):
Seyyed Majid Hosseini, who arrived in Canada just a month ago with his mother and son, has left them under the care of his brother in Coquitlam and returned to Iran, as confirmed by a video recorded at Tehran International Airport.
In the video, he explains his departure from Canada, citing pressure from the Iranian community, particularly in Vancouver. He highlights challenges in attending academic and public conferences. Initially, the campaign sought to press Canadian immigration authorities and the government to deport him due to his close ties to the Islamic regime. While deemed a success that he left, our concrete evidence reveals that Seyed Majid Hosseini covertly changed his visitor visa status to an open work permit during his recent stay in Canada. This status affords him the flexibility to return at any time, potentially engaging in investments in Canadian real estate and businesses, especially now that he has left his mother and son in Canada with his brother, Seyed Vahid Hosseini.
Majid and Vahid Hosseini's father is the cousin of Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the former mayor of Tehran. This familial connection elucidates their close ties, leading to Majid Hosseini's role as an advisor to Ghalibaf.
Vahid Hosseini, while overseeing the traffic control department in the city of Tehran under Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, managed a substantial budget. During Ghalibaf's tenure as mayor, Vahid left for Europe with the specific purpose of procuring state-of-the-art street traffic cameras equipped with new technologies for Tehran. However, he never returned to Iran. The whereabouts of the substantial budget he controlled remain shrouded in mystery!
Seyed Majid ended up surfacing in Canada in 2010 and now holds a position as an Associate Professor of Sustainable Energy Engineering at SFU in Vancouver.
The Islamic regime is surreptitiously transferring its influence from Iran to Canada, endeavoring to mold this country into another Islamic regime by strategically placing its agents in key positions. Canadians should harbor genuine concerns about their future, as the culture, economy, and safety of the country stand at risk.
Our paramount mission should be to forge a secure living environment for all Canadians and refugees by preventing individuals with such backgrounds from accessing the assets of this country. Recall the impact they had on Iran, and let us not allow them to repeat history in Canada.
