Additionally, the abusive kafala system has been another significant source of detriment to the laborers' well-being. This oversight is a breach of the Fundamental Principles of the International Labour Organisation, ratified by Qatar.

The reality is distressing: these laborers are the unseen backbone of the World Cup we all enjoy. It is now incumbent upon FIFA and Qatar to acknowledge these failings and take immediate responsibility. This includes providing reparations to the affected laborers and their families for the losses they've suffered as a result of these negligent actions.
