The latest from my email writing campaign - I am getting responses from various administrators involved with housing/student life. In every one of them, they are trying to convince me that somehow lots of pizza parties will make up for living in a crappy hotel miles away from campus. I have reiterated that this is completely unfair to the current freshmen who were promised something very different, and there are ways to make it fair (a lottery for on-campus housing for example) rather than forcing one group of students to eat the shit sandwich for everyone after it's too late to escape. The Freshmen should file a class action lawsuit if there is not a serious response to this breach of trust. No more pizza party level solutions - I'm not falling for it. In the words of my Grandpa, "don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining."
