I am an Uber Eats driver, struggling to make ends meet due to the current pay structure. The cost of living, including bills and petrol, is steadily rising while our pay per job remains stagnant. This imbalance is not just affecting me but thousands of other drivers who are also finding it increasingly difficult to sustain themselves.

Uber's current payment system is exploitative and unsustainable for its contractors. We are not asking for a handout; we are demanding fair compensation for our hard work and dedication. According to a study by the Economic Policy Institute, Uber drivers earn less than $10 an hour after expenses on average (Economic Policy Institute, 2018). This is well below the minimum wage in many areas where we operate.

We call upon Uber to review its pay per job policy urgently and provide us with a fair wage that reflects our efforts and covers our costs adequately. It's time that gig economy workers like us receive the respect and remuneration we deserve.
