Demand Fair Election Conduct in Keshia Holiday Kottages Welfare Association
The Issue
Keshia Holiday Kottages is a peaceful and serene residential society located in the lap of nature in Anjuna, Goa. This was my first experience witnessing the Managing Committee's unethical practices during MC election 2025-27. I am shocked to see that even after repeated requests for a fair election by a number of villa owners, the MC arrogantly continued with their unethical practices turning a deaf ear to all who complained. I am writing this petition on behalf of all the villa owners in Keshia, who demand a fair election and equal rights to select an MC that represents the true majority and works for the betterment of our society.
We are members of Keshia Holiday Kottages, a residential society in Anjuna, Bardez, Goa, who are currently dissatisfied with the unethical and unfair election method adopted by society's existing Managing Committee (MC). The current election process is opaque, where the existing MC conducts, moderates and also contest the election online with 0 transparency to owners. Our thrice stated concerns include the lack of a neutral election moderator, the restriction of voting rights, and the lack of proper communication about the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Our demands -
- Immediate dissolution of the existing Managing Committee.
- Conduct fresh and fair election as per bye laws. We demand a neutral election moderator that does not include members of the Managing Committee (MC) or any contesting candidate.
- Give every resident owner an equal right to clear their dues and thereby vote or stand in elections. There should be no exceptions in this case.
- A well-planned and communicated in-person voting event during the first AGM. Early and clear date communication will ensure excellent participation and transparency.
In the interest of equality, democracy, and fair play within our residential society, we urge all concerned members to lend their voices to these demands. Let's ensure fairness and transparency are central to our community's governance. Please sign this petition.
