I was waiting in line on Bad Worlds website at the time of release for the Sabrina Carpenter “Man’s Best Friend” liquid filled vinyl. I had about 5 minutes left in queue when I and many other people were moved back more than 10 minutes in queue. After more than 5 minutes lapsed, the time I would’ve had left, the record sold out. Meaning I could’ve actually gotten it. It’s apparent that an item, a Gigi Perez record, that was meant to have had its preorder period end long before the time of this release was still available. It had a preorder time of 0. Which means it should’ve not been up for sale. That glitch meant people could skip the queue by adding the Gigi Perez record to their carts, waiting in line, and adding the Sabrina Carpenter release to their carts before anyone else could get it. Leading to queue times of 20+ minutes at the time Sabrina’s release was dropped.

Scalpers that utilized this glitch got copies of this very limited release and are now selling it for 200$+.

This just puts fans like myself off of the album itself, associating it with the terrible time they had while trying to get an item that was limited to way less than demanded. And there is currently a theory out there that Blood records purposefully makes releases hard to get just so the can drop a second release and get FOMO sales.

We urge Blood Records to consider:

1. Adding questions pertaining to the most recent artists album/work that they’re releasing before being to add items your to cart
2. Adding a Captcha to the website to block bots from buying up all items before many people can enter the queue.
3. Improving the queue system to avoid disruptions and ensure transparency in the purchasing process.
4. Adding a passwords that are shared through Blood Records’/Bad World’s and the artists email list to ensure ONLY FANS get into the website for these releases.

By taking these actions, Blood Records/Bad World’s can restore trust within the fan community, support the artists who rely on them, and maintain their reputation as a beloved vinyl distributor. Let us stand together and urge Blood Records to prioritize accessibility and fairness in their sales strategy.

Sign this petition to demand fairer access for fans to Blood Records' exclusive vinyl releases.
