Macaque abuse and torture videos are all over Facebook and, despite constant reporting of these videos for going against content guidelines regarding animal abuse, they remain on the platform.

Not only are these videos disturbing, but they also encourage even more monkey hate to be created (yes, monkey hate is a very real and sick thing). 

These infant monkeys are stolen from their mothers shortly after birth, killing the mother in the process, or even worse, they are cut out of the mother's womb. They are then sold to cruel abusers who subject them to lives of intense mental and physical abuse for the sake of making money through Facebook videos, or they are used in horrific macaque torture films where the highest bidder chooses what heinous acts will be carried out against these baby monkeys. And the sky is the limit when it comes to what's allowed.

Constant physical and mental/emotional abuse, even sexual abuse, and torture-- these baby monkeys are subjected to some of the most disturbing acts of cruelty.

Macaques are intelligent animals who have certain emotional needs that are not met by these people who hold them hostage as their paycheck.

There is a known direct link between animal cruelty and other violent crimes against humans like murder, sexually-based crimes, and child abuse. Sadly, many of the creators of these videos also have children who are exposed to their violent behavior. It is proven that children who are exposed to these kinds of acts of violence against animals go on to also engage in acts of animal cruelty and violence themselves.

There are videos (currently on Facebook) of these abusers setting monkeys on fire, drowning them, feeding them to dogs, cutting off their body parts while the monkeys are awake, starving them to death, poisoning them, and so many other highly disturbing and extremely violent things.

 Without some sort of drastic action, Facebook will continue to allow animal abusers to be able to profit from the vile and violent abuse and torture of baby animals.

 These innocent lives deserve to be lived in their natural habitat surrounded by their troop, not locked away in the dark, starving and constantly scared to death of the next interaction they have with a human, knowing it will be painful on one level or another.

These precious animals desire the comfort of closeness and safety, and that's exactly what they deserve. If removed from their natural habitat and from their mothers, permanent psychological damage is inevitable (it's a fact).

 These infant macaques are part of a protected endangered species and every day more and more of them are being killed for money.

Please help to bring an end to this intense cruelty against innocent baby macaques and the ability of these people to earn money from it.
